The Rolling Stones are THE quintessential rock band. Everyone and their mother has heard of them, and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who didn't enjoy their music. 'Troubles A' Comin' brings back all that good hard rock feeling from the 60's and 70's. It's not a new track, but rather a previously unreleased track from the 1981 album 'Tattoo You'. The Stones have been bringing out these tracks for the upcoming 40th anniversary edition of the album, due later this month. It's crisp, it's clean, and it's exactly what you'd hope for.
'Troubles A' Comin' is a catchy tune. It'll get your foot stomping pretty quick, with it's rhythmic drumming and rolling chords. It harkens all the sound of the old Stones, with buzzing guitars, keyboards banging, and Mick Jaggers' unmistakeable vocals. It sounds like them because it is, it was recorded for 'Tattoo You' but never released. This is surprising I'm sure to listeners, because the track is fantastic and would've been a great addition to the album. I love songs that take you back to an era long gone, and this track does just that. Put it on and you'll find yourself in a leather biker jacket covered in peace pins. I highly recommend it, and encourage you all to give it a listen. Keep an ear out for the 40th anniversary release of 'Tattoo You', due in a couple of weeks, featuring additional previously unreleased tracks.
