Description:
Formerly known as Athena, Perpetuals changed their name with the release of this album. This three member band has good musical sense in creating an appealing song while sticking to the basics. With only drums and guitar accompanying the vocals, Perpetuals has a pure sound that resonates with the listener. “Why Fight for Love” features an acoustic guitar during the bridge giving the song more substance.
The album features four songs, however, each one is unique and doesn’t get boring when listening to the songs one after another. The various styles show the musical capacity of the group and their ability to create their own style in an ever-growing genre. I am sure that their future music will also give us a taste of something new while adhering to the classic “rock” sound.
Sounds Like: Kings of Leon, Young the Giant
Recommended Tracks:
1-Falling Fading: A slow song that really highlights the vocalists skills-sounds like you’re flying through space
3-Gain: a true rock sound, with scream-y vocals and a lot of electric guitar. A loud song
4-Jewels: A fun song with a catchy chorus and a fun accompanying guitar chord
