Description:
I always look for fluidity and integration of variety/quirks when evaluating new songs and albums. Only Yours first caught my attention when I heard vocalist, Lowell Sostomi’s, voice. It is loud, clear and powerful, however, it is gentle and soft at the same time. His voice compliments the lyrics and the music production makes the tracks nice to listen to own one’s own, but seem like they could be performed live with the same perfection. The songs are not saturated with overlapping melodies, but give enough time to each instrument or piece. I especially appreciate the orchestral aspects that are intertwined with more modern electronic influences and traditional rock sounds. Every song in this album has been crafted beautifully and leaves you reflecting on the emotions it stirs inside you.
Sounds Like: Snow Patrol, The 1975, The Shins
Recommended Tracks:
1. Doubts:
2. Different: a song I imagine would play at an 80’s prom, catchy chorus
4. By Now: beautiful integration of orchestral pieces
