Kero Kero Bonito played a sold out show in Tucson, Arizona at 191 Toole. Kero Kero Bonito brought together the most random people. I realized I didn’t know what kind of crowd they would bring because they are not a specific genre. It was a mix of gamers, drag queens, superfans, and parents (i’m not really sure where I stand but somehow i’m in there). They were supporting their first release on Polyvinyl, Time n’ Place. For a crowd that I assume does not know Japanese, they went wild for these songs. There was dancing, there was moshing, there was singing and balloons. You know how bands use those plastic, blow up beach balls and throw them in the crowd? We’ll they did the off brand version of that by blowing up a black trash bags and tying them like a balloon, it get it I’m poor too. The set was great, energetic and vibrant.
