Description:
This is my first time listening to MISS WORLD and I am impressed! The album gives a mix of angsty vibes inside a fantasy distortion. The album starts off with “Diet Coke Head” (Track 1) which has a nice combo of cracking open a Diet Coke and guitar riffs coming forward. I personally like “Don’t U Wanna Be Me Sometime?” (Track 2) and “(U Watch My) Stories (But U Don’t Like My Posts)” (Track 3). These songs definitely reflect how people can be on social media, she even addresses this in a dialogue form in the songs. “Carb Yr Enthusiasm” (Track 8) could be a sequel to “Diet Coke Head,” meanwhile “Oh Honey (Bergdorf & Goodman)” (Track 6) and “Put Me In A Movie” (Track 9) gives an old pop sound that could be heard in 1970-80’s movies. I like how all the songs relate to each other and how people behave and act in society such as “Click And Yr Mine” (Track 10) and “This Could Be Us But U Playin'” (Track 11), which is another personal favorite! “Lip Job” (Track 12) and “Modelling / Acressing” (Track 13) are the last two songs of the album, and “Modelling / Actressing” signals off a nice touch of “the end” of the 13 songs composed. Overall, the album was well put together and I am super excited to be listening to this album for the next couple of weeks!
Sounds Like: Boys, Kesha
