Description:
This is McCartney’s 17th solo album and though I am not very familiar with his style despite his long career, I didn’t find anything exceptional about the album. There were some nice relaxing songs as more traditional acoustic rock songs. However, Track 6, titled “Fuh You” was an interesting track that seemed to deviate from the other songs. It was more contemporary sounding with a lot of vocal mixing and RPM elements–it reminded me a bit of Imagine Dragons. Of course, all the songs are high quality and easy to listen to, as expected of McCartney and his years of experience. I wouldn’t say the album introduces any new skills as much as it maintains the listener’s expectations of what they expect to hear from him.
Sounds Like: The Beatles, Elvis
Recommended Tracks:
Track 6- Fuh You: A more modern rock pop song
Track 8-People Want Peace: grabs your attention in the beginning, has a political message
Track 3-Come Onto Me: Nothing special but upbeat and fun percussions
Track 4-Happy With You: Relaxing, acoustic guitar with soft vocals
Track 5- Who Cares: a traditional rock song
