Description: Eddie Arjun’s latest album: “Transition” is actually the type of fusion that I first had anticipated on when first hearing about Fusion Jazz. What I really like about this album is that this is a mix of Rhythm and Blues with Jazz. In my own opinion about Arjun’s performance, is that it reminds me of Christone Ingram; you get the elements of jazz here and then comes a tasty lick slapped on there! As this is an instrumental album, the arrangement suits very well though at its minimum. The bass and drums accompanying the background, it was rather soothing especially listening to “Ascent”. Listening through this album was a change in pace as well as dynamism; not too slow, not too aggressive. I could see myself going to a pool hall and hear this playing through the building. If you prefer rhythm and blues, I strongly would recommend this to you.
