Delmano EP by MUNYA Review

Album: Delmano EP

Artist: MUNYA

Genre: #Alternative/ #Indie

Sub-Genres: dreampop, shoegaze

Label: Luminelle Recordings

Non-Airable Tracks: None

Description:

This EP is the second of three EP’s to be released by MUNYA in 2018, and all are named after significant places for the artist, in this case the Hotel Demano in Williamsburg. I honestly loved this EP. Dreampop is not a genre I listen to super heavily, but this EP reminded me of other artists I love like SALES and Alvvays. The first and third songs are a little bit slower, with more breezy lyrics. The second song “Hotel Demano” is definitely my favorite. It is in French, so I don’t have any idea what she’s singing about, but the tone of the lyrics along with the twinkly beat and slight synth elements make me want to twirl around my room forever. Overall, the EP features three song that will make you feel like you’re living in a world where everything is dreamy and toned lavender.

Sounds Like: SALES, Hana Vu, Launder

Recommended Tracks:

  1. Hotel Demano – so fun!! and so dreamy!! and it’s in French

  2. If I’m Gone Tomorrow (It’s Because of Aliens) – slower but still dreamy and great
