During the cats sweep of the Hillenbrand Invitational they won one of the most historic games in program history against Indiana. Playing their first 14 inning game since 1997 and the third longest game in program history, the Wildcats would beat the Hoosiers 10-9 thanks to a walk-off single from Jasmine Perezchica. Arizona had many other opportunities to win the game beforehand, leaving 2 or more runners on base 6 times throughout the match. Aissa Silva would help the Wildcats get the breaks they needed, allowing 2 earned runs through 10.1 innings and picking up her 7th win of the season (7-0).
Some other notable performances to get Arizona the victory they needed came from PAC-12 Freshman of the Week Regan Shockey as she went 3-6 at the plate, and picking up 2 RBI's, along with Freshman Emily Schepp getting 3 RBI's as well. Arizona would go on to run rule Marshall and defeat CMU in the 9th inning to claim the Hillenbrand Invitational. Now they hope to keep their 15-1 record alive as they take the road down to Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the Crimson Classic.
