Cannons Went OFF at Rialto

Genre(s): Both openers are art pop duos. Cannons is a dream pop band. Collectively, the groups gain inspiration from the synthpop of the 80’s and refresh it with a modern indie sound.

Last night Cannons and their openers brought the 80’s back to Tucson, or at least what I imagine of the decade of glitz and excess. Jane Leo is a power couple and made a new fan out of me! They had a spunky vibe from their dress to their music. Two another is an Australian team that has amassed a large following over the years due to hits like “Can’t Buy the Mood”. Cannons came out with a bang! They played mostly new music that is unreleased, but my favorite songs were “Hurricane” and “Evening Star”. I literally felt like I was transcending with her dreamy vocals and synthy twang. Overall, I am glad I got to see Cannons on their return to Tucson after Dusk last year. If they ever come through these parts again, be sure to snag a ticket quickly.
