Description: If you heard the hit single “Prom Queen” on TikTok, that’s Beach Bunny for you. After releasing Honeymoon as their first full-length album, Beach Bunny took a break from the heartbreak theme for their fifth EP Blame Game. Lilli Trifilio’s vocals start with a girl-power song “Good Girls (Don’t Get Used)”. This song is the band’s lead single where Trifilio calls out boys for their immaturity and how she’s done playing “games” with them. The theme is seen again in “Love Sick” where Trifilio says she still loves a certain person but doesn’t want to get hurt. “Nice Guys” has a slow-rock feel claiming how the guy is not giving up on Trifilio but warns him she’s not easy to give her heart to. The EP ends with the band’s title of the album “Blame Game”. Trifilio adds her personal experience about sexism in this song and hopes to advocate for change from past to present.
