Description: Billie Eilish’s debut album “When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” is a what might possibly be the banger of 2019. My impression of her is quite cliche as I would portray her as this dark angel. The young star has an angelic voice with such sentimental feel; it’s like if Lorde and Lana Del Rey had a baby, this would be their child. The album alone isn’t done just by herself as her brother, Finneas O’Connell has done his part in songwriting and producing. Overall the album has just about everything you want in a pop song; it is tuneful and yet, simple. There’s this artistic intention with the music production that makes me marvel. For example, with “Xanny” as it gets to the chorus we’re introduced with what sounds like the vocals are literally presented with a fan in front of the microphone. What I like about this song is that it references the minor epidemic of Xanax and Opioid abuse. The album itself does a great job alternating between electronic and indie music.
